About Us

Sophie has been serving Houston since the mid 70's and it all started in her garage. It is an amazing story of a young immigrant girl who came to the states in pursuit of a better life. It all began in a small village in Greece when she learned to sew for her family. Once she found her way to the states through Ellis Island the summer of 1956, she used her trade to survive in this new country with a different culture and language. Remarkably, she was resilient and ambitious and thrived. After Sophie married, she moved to Houston where she decided in the early 80's to take the American dream one step further and opened up her own shop. And the story goes on for 30+ years.
Today, her daughter, Theano is running the business and has taken it to another level with adding consultation, a fabric showroom, and Hunter Douglas window coverings. We offer motorization for all types of window coverings and have a whole house solution for those needs.
